I just installed a dust collector, and the pulse cleaning is not working.
- Make certain the proper power is applied to the terminals at TB1 at all times.
- Make certain an isolated normally open motor starter auxiliary contact is wired to the MOT AUX terminals at TB3.
- Make certain PULSE DELAY and PULSE DURATION are not set to 0 (zero).
- Check F1 and F2 fusing for open circuit, check wiring and replace fusing.
My dust collector is taking all the air from our compressor.
Check for leaks in the diaphragm value. You may need a diaphragm repair kit.

Why consider pre-coating (pre-treating or seeding) filter media?
- By keeping particulates on the surface, as opposed to depth loading, initial efficiency can improve at start-up.
- Helps maintain a low pressure drop and improves filter life.
- The pre-treat porous layer helps to prevent filter media from blinding, thus improving the cleanability of the filters.
- Will not damage filter media (safe to handle).
- When combined with fire retardant media, it makes an excellent choice for spark producing processes.
- Improves dust cake release when there is moisture and/or hydrocarbons (oil) in the process air system.
In general, cartridge filter media should not require pre-coating nearly as often as bag and cage filter media. Cartridge media require pre-coating only on very difficult applications, or where moisture or hydrocarbons are sometimes present in the gas stream. These difficult applications could require a continuous, automatic coating system.
Pre-coating materials can vary widely. The more common and least expensive materials are agricultural lime and diatomaceous earth. More expensive specialty coatings come under several brand names including Amorphobe, Pre-Treat, Precon-W, Pearlite, Neutralite and Pre-Kote.
Why is our mist collector not draining properly?
Units require P Trap similar to any standard kitchen/bathroom sink to allow for draining.
What is the temperature rating of Mist Collectors?
120 Degrees F.
